Versailles KY Real Estate
Versailles is located just west of Lexington and is the county seat Woodford County. Its population was approximately 7,511 in the most recent census in 2000 (according to Wikipedia).
Those of you that enjoy travel and may have been to France - this town is NOT pronounced like the famous palace/city there. It is pronounced “ver-sails”.
Don’t let this little community fool you. It is home to some of the most affluent, and largest horse farms in the entire state of Kentucky. Having hundreds of acres is somewhat “normal” here - and its even where the Queen of England keeps her horses.
