Lexington KY is the 2nd largest city in the state (right behind Louisville) and 68th largest in the United States (according to Wikipedia) and is the county seat for Fayette County.

Lexington is commonly referred to as the “Horse Capitol of the World”. It is home to a variety of horse related attractions including the Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland Race Course - and more recently, is going to be host to the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games.

Lexington Kentucky is also home to the University of Kentucky as well as Transylvania University. For you basketball fans, you know that UK has won more games than any other college team in history.

The Lexington Kentucky metropolitan area had a population of 635,547 in 2005. So, it offers most of the features that you would expect in a large town - with some of the charm and personality that you can find in smaller communities.
